What if our working definition of online marketing read like this; “Online Marketing is the art of building relationships that inspire referrals.” Kautz, Will

Inspire people to join, participate and bring value to a community. As businesses if we provide value and benefits to our community they will spread our message – that is “Word of Mouse Marketing.”

Inspire, provide value, earning trust and building relationships through your online communities.

“Get Got or Be Inspired”
Mr. Levinson hit the nail on the head. Businesses need to get people to change their minds or maintain their mindset but if you replace the word “get” with “inspire” you now have word that also inspires the business owner.

The connotation between the two words has two very different subjective results. Therefore, to cause a business owner to become creative my responsibility as an online marketing professional is to not only inspire my clients’ community but to inspire my clients. In doing so, the subjective snowball of online communities and online marketing come together and begin to roll.

An Online Community is one Marketing Channel,

Marketing Channels result in capturing the attention of people who are interested in a specific topic and looking for a reason to buy. Give them a reason. Inspire them to action. Understand the marketing institutions and marketing activities so that you can customize your businesses marketing to your community.

From a mountain road, imagine a stream winding through the valley below, you can see how the water moves and you can see where the water comes from when it rains. The mountain side terrain tells you where the paths are and how many paths there were during the storm.
